Last month, we highlighted Record Store Day 2016 and gave you The Key’s picks of what to look out for when checking out your local record shops this Saturday, April 16th. For music fans, RSD is a national holiday that means more than just buying new music: it means watching shows, appreciating culture, and creating a positive environment around the music.

There are so many great record stores in and around Philly, and each of them will be holding different Record Store Day celebrations by bringing in great bands, guest DJs, and various music celebrities. Here’s a list of participating stores and all of the events that they will be holding this Saturday for Record Store Day.

Main Street Music (4444 Main St. in Manayunk) will feature a day full of folk and Americana music with the Great American Canyon Band at 1PM, Cliff Hillis at 2PM, and Ben Arnold at 3PM.

Repo Records (538 South St.) will be celebrating Record Store Day’s 30th anniversary with performances from Greyscale, Sad Actor, The Whips, Little Scream, Point Breeze Country Club, and Worst Ones. Music starts at noon.

Creep Records (1050 N Hancock St #76 in Northern Liberties) will feature a massive day of events, including free coffee and a DJ set from Eric Slick of Dr. Dog when they open at 8AM. At noon, Slick will turn the tables over to Philly’s Aaron Ruxbin, who will be DJing until 2 pm. Later that night, Creep will be hosting a night of punk rock with Philly bands Pocket, Left & Right, Thin Lips, and Goddamnit.

Princeton Record Exchange (20 S Tulane St. in Princetoh) will have Steve Garvey of Buzzcocks in-store for an autograph signing at 1PM. Buzzcocks will be releasing their anthology double album, More Product in a Different Compilation: Best of the United Artists Recordings.

Other participating stores include: Long In The Tooth, Hideaway Music, Sit & Spin Records, The Marvelous! Music, Vinyl Altar & Digital Underground, Siren Records (Doylestown), The Mad Platter (West Chester), Vinyl Revival (Landsdowne), and Milkcrate Cafe.
