A gorgeous Friday afternoon in Philadelphia was accompanied by the sultry sounds of Dylan LeBlanc playing World Cafe Live for Free at Noon. That evening LeBlanc delivered yet another flawless performance at Boot and Saddle. The night began with the high energy folk/bluegrass stylings of The Chip Breakers, who warmed up the crowd for the greatly anticipated headliner.

Dylan LeBlanc took the stage with longtime friends and this tours backing band, The Pollies. Out of the gate, the band was unbelievably tight and Dylan’s voice fell into the angelic wavelength that we all love. The band played most of LeBlanc’s latest LP, Cautionary Tale. Taking a break midway through the set, The Pollies left the stage with just Dylan and cellist Courtney Blackwell.

At this point, the night took a beautiful, acoustic turn towards intimacy while LeBlanc showed he is just as powerful with limited instrumentation. After a few songs, the band joined him on stage and the night closed out with long screeching solos and an aggressive end. The final song was the fantastic title track of the new album, “Cautionary Tale.” The band played a rocking extended version that left the crowd howling at the finish.
