We’ve been loving the new Field Mouse LP Episodic since its full stream became available before its official release this Friday. Hearing the bands rockin’ new material makes tonight’s show at Boot & Saddle an absolute must-see of the week. The band has come a long way since its debut and we’re excited to see how that evolution translates on stage. Check out songs off the new album below, and find tickets and more information about the show over on the XPN Concert Calendar.
Tonight, the Tower Theatre is treated to the legendary soulful stylings of Erykah Badu. Los Angeles R&B artist Gallant, who was one of our favorites at this year’s Firefly Music Festival, will be opening the show. This is Badu’s first tour in several years and we’re glad to finally have her back. Tickets are no longer available online, but can still be purchased at the box office. You can find more info on the show right here. Listen to Badu’s 2002 jam “Love of My Life” below.
Supporting shoegazers Candace, local artist Julia Hudak will be opening things up at Kung Fu Necktie tonight at their 21+ show. Centered on songwriting and American folk and blues traditions, Hudak and her band are making a name for themselves. Tickets and more info on the show can be found here. Listen to Hudak’s latest music, June’s Careful of the Nettles EP below.
