The frontman of Man Man has been teasing new music from his forthcoming album Use Your Delusion for a while now, but it doesn’t seem like anyone is complaining.

Honus Honus, the moniker under which Ryan Kattner has performed for the past decade, just put out another track off of the new album that is set to be released later this month. “The Stripper Has No Navel” is exactly what you would expect from this famously experimental musician, but pretty surprising at the same time. I can guarantee that anyone who reads this has never heard a song about this particular subject matter, and this sometimes crude originality is apart of his appeal.

The track is carried by horns, keyboard notes, drums, and various synthesized miscellaneous productions that litter the background. All of this in conjunction with Honus Honus’s distinct sardonic drawl makes this song irresistible. It’s hard not to love these strange rock songs that make you want to dance and are so damn catchy at the same time.

So, this song will do just fine in holding fans over while we wait for this new album that is certain to be as much an enigma as everything else Honus Honus puts out. You can experience the album live in all of its glory at the November 2nd kickoff of his U.S. tour which ends on November 15th with a show at Boot and Saddle. Go to the XPN Concert Calendar for more information. Listen to the new track on Brooklyn Vegan, and check out another track off Use Your Delusion, “Oh No!”, below.
