From the West Coast: Cheers Elephant share new single “Shake It”

Philadelphia-turned-Los Angeles outfit Cheers Elephant have been busy recording several new singles over the last couple of years after releasing their standout third LP Like Wind Blows Fire. The latest track is “Shake It,” shared last week on Bandcamp and following up December’s “Steak Knife.”

“Shake It” opens with a kind of mod, 60s spy theme sound before bouncing into Cheers’ psych-pop signature. The guitars are crystal clear and surfy, the melody is super catchy and the chorus is made for dancing – It’s the pure fun we love to hear from the band. And it’s likely that we’ll be hearing a lot more of it soon, as they’ve been hinting on Facebook that some exciting projects are in the works.
