To say the least, the last 24 hours have been exhausting. When choice words are slung to physically harm others of a differing opinion, it’s easy to forget what life can be about. To try to dig us out, Man Man’s Honus Honusdug up “Grace In Your Heart,” an unreleased track a couple years old initially meant for a project with Mavis Staples.

Showing a precursory connection between Man Man’s “Head On (Hold On To Your Heart),” Honus is playing clean-up, hoping to heal whatever wounds were ripped open. On “Grace,” Honus warns listeners, “Don’t snap, and always know / You gotta dig deep”, and “never forget who you are, and never forget to remember / That your heart, it ain’t carved of stone.” Although the song was written a few years ago, Honus found the song “appropriate to share today,” assuring us to “Hang in there, America. Let love & compassion carry you thru the darkest times.”

Listen to the song below, and watch the video for “Head On (Hold On To Your Heart)” from 2013 as well.
