Following the summertime release of their album True Sadness, The Avett Brothers are pairing the songs from the album with new visuals and their first venture is with “No Hard Feelings.”

The video consists chiefly of brothers Seth and Scott Avett along with bassist Bob Crawford sitting on stools facing the camera. This track is saturated in nostalgia as the black and white shots of the band on stools are continually swapped with home videos of the group over the years. The chorus “Lord knows [hard feelings] haven’t done much good for anyone / Kept me afraid and cold with so much to have and hold” echoes the introspective nature of the rest of the record, and is a good message to reflect on this month.

The group is currently on tour, unfortunately their route is taking them south and west; no Philly dates are currently on the docket, but be sure to keep an eye on the WXPN Concert Calendar for any updates and watch the video below.
