A few weeks ago, Scranton natives Tigers Jaw announced plans for their fifth LP spin, due out on May 19th. The duo of Brianna Collins and Ben Walsh shared lead single “Guardian” at that time, and they continue the roll out today with “June.”

The song draws its inspiration from Collins’ best friend, a shimmering ode to the strength of their friendship and the refreshing properties of the namesake month as it ushers in a new season. The pop-filled indie rock we heard on “Guardian” returns for “June,” filling the space to the brim with ringing guitars, softly-edged drums and moments of sugary piano hooks.

Tigers Jaw play Union Transfer on June 23rd with Saintseneca and Smidley; tickets and information for the all-ages show can be found here. Stream “June” below.
