Multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzón-Montano brings his dynamic debut LP Jardin to The Foundry tonight. The Brooklyn neo-R&B artist stopped by World Cafe to talk about the record with host Talia Schlanger recently, recounting his big break with Lenny Kravitz, the plethora of fruit and plant references in his lyrics, and his family’s musical history. Tickets and information for the all-ages show can be found here. Watch “Crawl” below.

Los Angeles artist LP headlines World Cafe Live tonight in support of last year’s Lost on You effort. After breaking through with her song “Into the Wild” thanks to a 2011 commercial, LP continued to explore the depths of folk pop with a distinctive voice and knack for textural, dramatic soundscapes. With tonight’s show at PhilaMOCA, local act RFA can cross “first headlining gig” off of their to-do list. The indie rockers have been sharing a handful of new songs via Out of Town Films ahead of the big show including a live take of country-rock number “Suzie Lee,” which got its official single release earlier this week. Check out the video below and pick up tickets for the all-ages evening here.
