Believe it or not, songs like “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, “Dancing In The Dark” by Bruce Springsteen, “End of the Road” by Boyz II Men and Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky” all failed to grab the number one spot on top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Each of these songs peaked at number two, which is the subject of our next #TBTXPN, Throwback Thursday, starting this Thursday morning at 6 a.m. with Kristen Kurtis on the Morning Show.

Along with Kristen, XPN hosts Helen Leicht, Eric Schuman, and Dan Reed have dug into the research to pull out songs that will amaze you with the fact that as popular as many of these songs have been, they failed to hit #1. Tune in Thursday starting at 6 a.m. Below, sample some of the No. 2s.
