Just when we thought Friday was awesome enough on its own, Harmony Woods released a cover of Three Man Cannon’s song “Bleed” on Bandcamp — giving us all new reasons to be thankful.

The cover strips down the TMC slow-jam into a solo acoustic rendition. Switching between bittersweet finger-picking and powerfully-packed strums, Harmony Woods’ take retains the song’s emotion — taking it to a new level of melancholy with its sense of isolation.

Harmony Woods will be playing at Space 1026 on June 16th, and later this summer at the XPN Welcomes: Philly Music and Arts Fest at World Cafe Live. Find more info on tickets on Philly Fest here, and listen to Harmony Woods’ cover of “Bleed” and the original Three Man Cannon tune below.
