Following up the announcement of a seventh studio record coming this September, The National performed a handful of new songs in Paris last week for a live-streamed Pitchfork concert.

In addition to “The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness,” which XPN has been playing for a few weeks now, the band performed “Nobody Else Will Be There,” “Guilty Party,” “Carin at the Liquor Store,” and the title track for the first time. Mixed in the hour-long set, Matt Berninger and co. dipped into some back catalog favorites as well like High Violet‘s “Terrible Love” and Boxer‘s “Fake Empire.”

Sleep Well Beast is out September 8th via 4Ad. The National will bring the record to the Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall on December 4th for a sold-out show. Watch a performance of some of the new songs below.
