Charismatic Philadelphian Mars Parker headlines tonight at Underground Arts, performing alongside frequent collaborators: pop singer-songwriter Aleana and electronic rock duo Camp Candle. Parker caught our eye last fall at Boot and Saddle, spanning the worlds of R&B croonerdom and hip-hop, and this year turned in an exciting performance for The Key Studio Sessions. Watch video of that below, check out the entire session here and get tickets and more information on tonight’s show at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Wacky, wonky and weird, Philly’s Muscle Tough is the teaming up three exceptionally talented Philadelphia musicians — Ross Bellenoit on guitar, Jonathan Coleman on bass and Joe Baldacci on drums — where they set themselves free to wander wherever the groove might take them. Heady and jammy, often quite surreal, and packed with fun cover versions and crow participation chants, the Muscle Tough live show is a contagiously fun experience that tonight comes to the New Liberty Distillery in Kensington. Tickets and more information can be found here.

Singer songwriter and moving balladeer Kwesi got his start in Philly before relocating to Los Angeles a couple years ago, but makes his return to Boot and Saddle tonight, with new music in tow — including his latest single, “Smile 4 Me.” Joining him are Ben Kessler and Lizzie No; more information on the show can be found here.
