Synth-folk outfit Florist released their soft and beautiful LP If Blue Could Be Happiness last month, and its intricate and gentle songs are the perfect soundtrack for a cozy fall night at Boot & Saddle. With Philly locals Hello Shark and Yowler (who are playing their first-ever full band set) opening the show, it’s a full lineup of introspective and contemplative sounds. Listen to the delicate “Blue Mountain Road” below, and find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.

Philly acoustic duo Baby & Shylow open up the Bette Smith show over at Kung Fu Necktie tonight; Rad & Kell also perform. Featuring members of Grandchildren, the real-life couple Baby & Shylow began collaborating last year, and lend their signature raw harmonies to their folk, R&B and pop-inspired tunes. Watch the duo’s Random Tea Session below, and find tickets and more information on tonight’s show on the XPN Concert Calendar.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s Animals, and a celebration of the classic album is coming to World Cafe Live tonight in the form of Philly Loves Animals. A lineup of local musicians came together for the tribute band, including Shawn Kilroy, Dan Finn (Cold Roses), Adam Zielinski (Aaron Parnell Brown, Conversations), Lynna Stancato (Sad Heaven), members of You Do You, The York Street Hustle and more. They’ll be playing Animals in full and rounding out the set with other Floyd favorites — revisit Animals in full below to get ready for the show. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
