Watch Beach Bod’s new video, catch them at Weller’s record release show

Local surf pop outfit Beach Bod debuted their first EP Carpal Summer last year, and now they’re back with a video for the short, hazy track “If I Call You Please Don’t Answer I Can’t Handle It.” The Philly-via-Poconos group may come from the mountains and play in the city, but their laid-back sound is full of all the sunny and dreamlike beachy vibes we could ask for.

Guitarist Rachel Wild and drummer Nathan Avila share vocals throughout the record, but “If I Call You…” comes as a contrast to some of the band’s more energetic and lyrically-driven songs, a toned-down moment of pause for the listener to lose themselves in. The video plays with soft light and abstract visuals to build a fuzzy dreamscape that matches the track’s relaxed and atmospheric vibes. Watch it below.
