My Brightest Diamond‘s music is often described as “art pop,” so it makes perfect sense that the eccentric band’s next local show will be at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The project of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Shara Nova, My Brightest Diamond is set to release a new album, A Million And One, this summer and will appear as part of the PMA’s Final Fridays series on July 27.

The Champagne EP, My Brightest Diamond’s latest release, is out now, and features songwriting in both English and French. Throughout her career, Shara Nova has collaborated with musicians like Sufjan Stevens, David Byrne, and The Decemberists. She also recently appeared on an episode of WHYY’s Articulate, discussing her creative process and performing songs both new and old.

My Brightest Diamond’s Final Fridays performance is free with museum admission. Find more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
