Nothing goes together quite like local bands and local businesses, especially whenThin Lips and nachos are involved. To celebrate the release of their new album Chosen Family, Thin Lips and Lame-O Records are teaming up with Honest Tom’s Plant Based Taco Shop this Friday, July 27, to offer the best deal in town — a bundle that includes the new LP and an order of nachos for only $20 (sounds like the perfect way to fuel up before heading over to XPNFest, if you ask me).

Aptly called “Nachosen Family,” the special runs all day at the West Philly taco spot, which recently switched over to an all-vegan menu. Check out more information on the poster below. Chosen Family got an early stream via Noisey yesterday, accompanied by an interview with Thin Lips’ vocalist/guitarist Chrissy Tashjian — read here as she discusses everything from her inspiration behind the new record to her friendship with Hop Along’s Frances Quinlan to her awesome knuckle tattoos (“RIFF HARD”).

Chosen Family is streaming now on Bandcamp (listen below) and will be out everywhere this Friday. Thin Lips plays a sold-out show at PhilaMOCA on August 25 with Slaughter Beach, Dog.
