Straight out of Oklahoma, JP McPherson brought the sweet sounds of classic rock n’ roll to the Marina Stage.

Starting with the infectious rockabilly groove of “Crying’s Just a Thing That You Do”, you immediately know J.D. was getting the crowd warming up and ready to twist some hips. Following was the 50s-style rocker “Fire Bug”, and this gem got the crowd jitterbuggin’. Throughout the performance, the band kept everything smooth and running perfectly without missing one beat especially during the boogie-inducing track “North Side Gal.”

A few tracks in, McPherson slowed things down with his 2017 track “Jubilee” then picked it back up with the slinky groove of “Mother Of Lies.” Things got hot and heavy towards the end as the crowd got all rowdy, stomping their feet and throwing their hands in the air, during “Lucky Penny.”

J.D. McPherson closed with “Let The Good Times Roll,” with a storyline straight out of Romeo and Juliet, and started a full-on dance party with everyone getting down.
