Cosmo Sheldrake is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer from the UK who recently released his debut album, The Much Much How How and I . While you probably don’t recognize his name, you might recognize his song “Come Along” that was used for this recent Apple iPhone commercial.

Sheldrake draws from a broad range of musical influences and experiences. He’s played jazz and classical piano since he was a young child (he’s now 28 years old) and over the years his inspiration has also come from hip-hop, West African world music, folk, blues and brass ensembles. He’s written for film and theatre, has taught beatboxing workshops and community choirs in Brighton, and brings together his own “pop” music in an engaging, idiosyncratic way that’s quite delightful.

Below, listen to “Wriggle” from his recent release. It’s fun. It’s quirky. It’s charming and seductive. Highly recommended for fans of Beirut, tUnE-yArDs, and Alt-J.
