Philadelphia’s Cvgebird returns with new single “Besos”
Last week, the emerging Philadelphia artist Cvgedbird appeared on The Key Studio Sessions, and quickly followed that performance up by releasing her new single “Besos.” It follows her her previous track “Hiyaa,” released in December, and is available on all streaming platforms.
Cvgebird calls her sound “acoustic trap soul,” and as her description suggests, the new single mixes a myriad of genres. At some points during “Besos,” you will hear R&B but then you will also hear elements of dance and EDM. In an Instagram post announcing the new song, Cvgebird calls the song a “feel good summer anthem,” talking about its range of sounds from Afro-Caribbean to Brazilian music, mixed with trap and 90s nostalgia. The song was a collab with Amsterdam producer Omar Duro, and Cvgebird says “Besos” captures “endless summers vibes filled with unforgettable memories reminding you of summer kisses.”
