Indie folk faves Bright Eyes will go on their first tour since 2011 this summer. Singer-songwriter Conor Oberst, along with multi-instrumentalists Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott, reformed the band last year, and will release new music this year via Dead Oceans Records, the label that released Oberst’s Better Oblivion Community Center project with Phoebe Bridgers in 2019.

The spring-into-summer run features a June 16th date at Bethlehem’s Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks, with Richmond singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus opening the show. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 21st at noon, and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Though Oberst has played several solo sets in the region, including an appearance at XPNFest 2017, this will be Bright Eyes’ first Philly-area concert since a June 2011 gig at The Mann Center. Lucy Dacus performed in Philly frequently while touring in support of her 2018 LP Historian and her 2019 EP, and most recently played Johnny Brenda’s on New Year’s Eve.
