Philly’s Grocer, formerly known as all boy/all girl, will release Little Splash, their first album under the new name, on May 22. The band just shared the album’s lead single “Infinite Commute” ahead of the release.

The quartet of Danielle Lovier, Nicholas Rahn, Emily Daly and Cody Nelson, blend pop, punk and art rock influences into their layered sound. They express their frustration with the mundanity of routine on “Infinite Commute” as Lovier sings, “though I used to be a dreamer, now I only dream when I am sleeping.”

Grocer plays Ortlieb’s tonight, as well as the next two Wednesdays, as part of their March residency. They’ll also play a record release show at Boot & Saddle on May 28 with Corey Flood and Grace Vonderkuhn. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
