Philly duo Love? said the Commander returns this summer with their second EP. A Place For Our Heads will be released July 31, and until then you can hear the first single, “Misery” — a song which the band says is, “if you can believe it, about dancing.”

Although “Misery” was written before the pandemic, it fits well in today’s circumstances, especially for those who are feeling some degree of despair at the current state of the world. Over Chris Bishop’s jangly guitar, vocalist Kate Hall sings that she wishes she could “dance away the misery, and lose ourselves to the sounds of the radio.” Listen below.
