Vibrant Philly four-piece Rockers Galore released their first single of 2020 today. “Celebration Life,” recorded at Fishtown’s Panther Pro Audio, mixes dreamlike arrangements and gripping beats as singer-bassist and songwriter Blayer Pointdujour meditates on personal growth.

Over a light introductory groove that draws on both samba and cumbia, we hear layers of vocals and light guitar before big rock drums enter on an lyric about finding strength in a vulnerable moment: “It was so dark that I couldn’t see / Big things come from a small seed / Now my trunks wide like a budding tree / In the moonlight, I can taste the sea.”

“Celebration Life” finds joy in our personal journey, in the way we can change for the better as time passes, while also acknowledging there’s always work to be done, including giving back; Listen below, and explore Rockers Galore’s back-catalog on Bandcamp; their previous releases were 2019’s Sak Pase EP, and 2017’s Cultivation LP.
