Watch Emily King perform new music for Paste Magazine

Framed by red curtains, Emily King stands alone on the Paste Studio stage, with nothing but her guitar and tranquil voice ringing out in the empty space. The scene comes from the R&B singer-songwriter’s recently-performed livestream with Paste Magazine, released last week.

King’s setlist comprised of three songs, with the first two being brand new and receiving their first airing — or, as King expressed, “hot off of [her] couch,” having been written only a few weeks ago.

King also revealed in a throw-away comment that the two songs, “Easy” and “First Time,” are set to be released, though the exact date of release remains a mystery.

The final song that King performed was her Grammy-nominated “See Me.” Her performance was as lovely and engaging, demonstrating her exceptional vocal talent and songwriting prowess. Watch the performance below.
