Its been over three years since Wolf Alice’s last record Visions of a Life, and the British band is back with a new single and announcement of their third album Blue Weekend. Following teasers on social media, Wolf Alice announced Blue Weekend and shared: “We really put our heart and soul into this record and we cannot wait for you to hear it.”

“The Last Man on Earth” debuted along with a music video, a captivating visual that shows lead vocalist Ellie Rowsell in the shadows as she sings “Does a light shine on you?” The track is a powerful return for the group, showcasing Rowsell’s versatile, majestic vocals that feel cinematic atop a piano ballad instrumental arrangement. The track’s lyrics point to cues of selfishness and arrogance that gain intensity as harmonized vocals join Rowsell as she cuttingly belts “And when your friends are talking, You hardly hear a word.”

Blue Weekend is out June 11th and “The Last Man on Earth” is available now. Check it out below.
