Listen to Shamir’s new single, “Divide,” before it’s gone

Singer/songwriter Shamir is never one to shy away from being experimental or different in his work. Sometimes that means covering unusual subject matter or exploring new and distinctive styles from album to album, but it also applies to the way that he lets listeners experience his music. His new single, “Divide,” will only be online for 24 hours for Bandcamp Friday.

Written in the summer of 2019, this track is a bit of a slow burn. Shamir works up his range as the song progresses, all the while subtle harmonies lend an almost glittering sound to the song.
