Singer-songwriter Evan Dando is bringing his long-running project The Lemonheads out on the road when the world opens up again. The band just announced a November tour that brings them to Philadelphia on Wednesday, November 24th at Underground Arts.

The Lemonheads last album was the covers album Varshons 2, released in 2019, featuring versions of songs by Yo La Tengo, John Prine, Lucinda Williams, and Nick Cave. Their last album of original material was 2006’s self-titled, and they will be joined on the road by Portland’s Soft Kill and Charleston, South Carolina’s Heyrocco; additionally, The Lemonheads will cap the tour in Boston on November 27th by sharing a bill with Dinosaur Jr.

Tickets for the show are on sale Friday, April 30th at noon, though announcements for concerts at this point are subject to change due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Underground Arts does not have any COVID-specific information on their website yet, but keep an eye on their social media, and listen to The Lemonheads’ cover of Yo La Tengo’s “Can’t Forget” below.
