The song “Follow Me Around” might be the biggest Radiohead hit that never got released…until now.

The revered UK art-rock band is releasing an expanded repackaging of their groundbreaking turn-of-the-millennium albums Kid A and Amnesiac. In the spirit of their popular OKNOTOK reissue of OK Computer from a couple years back, KID AMNESIAEcollects outtakes and oddities of the era, including a long-awaited studio recording of the song many fans first heard 25 years ago.

As a press release explains, “Follow Me Around”:

was often performed at soundchecks on the [OK Computer] tour, quickly becoming a fan favorite. The band have occasionally posted different pieces of the song’s lyrics on their website, linking it to other songs, including “Kid A” and “Where I End and You Begin.” Some of the lyrics to “Follow Me Around” also appear in the hidden booklet to Kid A.

The first (and only) somewhat official recording of the song appears in the 1998 documentary Meeting People is Easy, where the band performed it at a soundcheck in Fukuoka, Japan. “Follow Me Around” made its proper live debut at a Toronto concert in October 2000, when Thom [Yorke] performed the song acoustically, after fans campaigned for it to be played live on the Radiohead fan site followmearound.com.

Along with the release of the song to tease KID AMNESIAE, the band has released a music video for it starring Guy Pearce of Momento fame. Watch below, and order KID AMNESIAEhere.
