When Todd Rundgren remixed Tame Impala (playing Electric Factory with Light Heat on June 19)

The Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala have gone on record as being big fans of Todd Rundgren. Tame Impala’s recent album, Lonerism, was released in October, 2012, and the band had a song from it, “Elephant,” remixed by Rundgren. On Rundgren’s remix, he turns up the sonic seasonings, stretching the original song by two minutes by adding his brand of noodle-y electronics and Utopia-esque prog-rock sound effects.
