Slowdive extend tour, announce Union Transfer show in November

UK shoegazers Slowdive bypassed Philadelphia on the spring leg of their Slowdive tour, but they couldn’t leave us out of the fun completely. Announcing another run of dates for the fall, the recently-reunited outfit will bring their new record to Union Transfer on November 15th. Tickets for the all-ages show go on sale this Friday, June 16th and will be available on the XPN Concert Calendar

Slowdive is the band’s fourth studio effort and marks their first new material in 22 years following 1995’s Pygmalion. NPR Music highlighted album single “Sugar For the Pill” while Slowdive was in Brooklyn, filming a live take of the ethereal, contemplative song in a mid-century styled shuffleboard hall for the outlet’s Field Recordings feature.
