Caroline Rose | still from video

Before she heads out on her fall headlining tour, which includes a stop at Underground Arts next month, everybody’s favorite eccentric rocker Caroline Rose has a new music video to share. Rose released her breakout sophomore album LONER earlier this year, and the new video brings one of its standout singles, “Jeannie Becomes A Mom,” to life.

In “Jeannie Becomes A Mom,” Rose puts her knack for storytelling to use to follow the journey of a woman struggling in her mundane suburban life, and the video stays true to that narrative, the story playing out with Rose as the red-clad observer. Rose said in a press release, “‘Jeannie’ was really my first foray into making really fun, sort of weird pop music. It felt like a relief making something that still told a serious story but tasted like candy to my ears.”

Caroline Rose plays Underground Arts on Friday, November 16 with And The Kids. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar, and revisit her Free At Noon performance here.
