Philly outfit Small Circle is the awesome indie result you get when combining songwriter and frontwoman Marissa D’elia’s dreamy vocals and melodies with members of emo-punk faves Sorority Noise. After releasing their debut EP melatonin in the spring, the four-piece have now shared a new single and announced an upcoming album, Cyclical, which will be out on September 8th via Flower Girl Records.

Track “spinning” lives up to its name as it spirals into perfectly formulaic chaos through sporadic drums and thundering guitars. In this pandemonium of sounds though, the song never strays into disarray as D’elia’s clear, comforting vocals serve as a guiding, connecting thread.

Catch Small Circle when they play PhilaMOCA on September 5th, with info on the show here. Listen to “Spinning” below and keep your eyes / ears peeled for an upcoming Key Studio Session with the band.
